Communications

Communication is a fundamental political instrument that strengthens our mission. Through this policy, GESTOS articulates strategies to confront and visualize HIV in Pernambuco, in Brazil, and globally. With the support of partners, we produce videos, media campaigns, including film, we publish informative materials and train activists and professionals in the field.

GESTOS's communication policy takes directives from radical democracy as a way to ensure access to information and the production of knowledge; the construction of collective political projects that promote and recognize potential and capabilities, the production/promotion of theory and knowledge of the structural dimensions of AIDS, gender, human rights, race, communication, sexuality, citizenship and class.

In addition to this educational and informational work, the institution"s policy facilitates dialogue (communication) between GESTOS’s professionals and the general public, which participates in our actions.
